The Business Administration curriculum is designed to introduce students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system. Students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today’s global economy.
Course work includes business concepts such as accounting, business law, economics, management, and marketing.
The following certificates are offered in the Business Administration program:
Students may focus electives selection for a program concentration assisting with completion of Certificates while working toward the AAS degree.
Accounting Concentration – Electives selection: ACC 131, ACC 140, and ACC 150. Students will earn two extra certificates in addition to the AAS degree: Accounting Essential Certificate and Small Business Accounting Certificate.
Entrepreneurship Concentration - Electives selection: BUS 230 and two (2) additional courses from the electives listing. Students will earn an Entrepreneurship Certificate in addition to the AAS degree.
Marketing Concentration - Electives selection: MKT 121, MKT 123, and MKT 232. Students will earn a Marketing Essential Certificate in addition to the AAS degree.
Skills related to the application of these concepts are developed through the study of computer applications, communication, team building, and decision making.
Through these skills, students will have a sound business education base for lifelong learning. Graduates are prepared for employment opportunities in government agencies, financial institutions, and large to small business or industry.
