The Healthcare Management Technology, AAS Program is offered through an Instructional Service Agreement with Pitt Community College. A minimum of 22 SHC must be completed through Pitt Community College including the following courses: BUS 151, HMT 110, HMT 210, HMT 215, HMT 212, HMT 220, and HMT 225. The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Healthcare Management Technology will be awarded by Pitt Community College upon successful completion of all requirements.

Graduates from Pitt Community College are eligible to sit for various certification exams after completion of the degree and a minimum of two years administrative experience. Eligible certifications include, but are not limited to:

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)

• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
• Certified Specialist Payment & Reimbursement (CSPR)

American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)

• Certified Physician Practice Management (CPPM)
• Revenue Cycle Management Specialist (RCMS)

Professional Association of Healthcare Office Managers (PAHCOM)

• Certified Medical Manager (CMM)
