Medical Records Clerks work in various healthcare settings where the management and organization of patient records are essential. They are often employed in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and physician’s offices, where they ensure that patient records are accurately maintained and easily accessible for healthcare providers. Medical records clerks are also employed in nursing homes maintaining the records of residents, including their medical histories, medications, and care plans. Other areas that they may work are government agencies, insurance companies, and research institutions.
