The Emergency Medical Science Bridging program was developed to allow currently certified, non-degree Paramedics to earn a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Science. A total of 45 transfer hours will be awarded to certified EMT-Paramedics who have completed at least 25 percent of their EMS course hours through LCC’s Continuing Education/Workforce Development division. Curriculum credit for a certified EMT-Paramedic will not be awarded to students who have not completed 25 percent of their coursework through LCC. Admission requirements must be met prior to matriculation.
Students are required to complete at minimum 25 percent of the curriculum portion of the program requirements at LCC as mandated by SACSCOC, and each student will receive an individualized education plan to ensure this requirement is met.

Total Emergency Medical Science - Bridging, AAS: 66-72 Credits
All Emergency Medical Science students must make grades of “A,” “B,” or “C” on all major courses to graduate from the program.
