The Emergency Medical Science Bridging program was developed to allow currently certified, nondegree Paramedics to earn a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Science. A total of 45 transfer hours will be awarded to certified EMT-Paramedics who have completed at least 25 percent of their EMS course hours through LCC’s Continuing Education/Workforce Development division. Curriculum credit for a certified EMT-Paramedic will not be awarded to students who have not completed 25 percent of their coursework through LCC. Admission requirements must be met prior to matriculation.
To be eligible for a degree, students must complete at least 25% of the program’s curriculum requirements through for-credit classes offered at Lenoir Community College, as required by SACSCOC. Each student will receive an individualized education plan to ensure this requirement is met.
